Bill Mann L.Ac. has practiced in the healing arts since 1981, when he began studying at the New Mexico School of Natural Therapeutics - the same year that he was introduced to homeopathy by Karl Robinson MD. After that, he studied acupuncture at the California Acupuncture College in San Diego and in an internship in Beijing, China in 1985.
After reading the Organon by Samuel Hahnemann, he was so intrigued by homeopathy that he went on to complete a four-year study of homeopathy at the Hahnemann College of Homeopathy in Berkeley, California, where his teachers and mentors were well-known homeopaths, Roger Morrison MD, Nancy Herrick, Jonathon Shore MD, Bill Gray MD and Vicky Menear MD. He has had a full-time, active practice in homeopathy since 1987 in San Diego, and Escondido, California.
He was introduced to the work of Dr. Rajan Sankaran in 1993 and attended numerous seminars with him since then, including the Bombay clinical workshops in India for International homeopaths in 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2006. When Bill fully applied Dr. Sankaran's insights into his homeopathy practice, the efficacy and depth of his prescriptions improved so dramatically that he was compelled to teach and share what he learned with colleagues and others. His deepest desire was to focus on sharing what has helped him most in his practice.
He has lectured at many homeopathic schools and helped found them (Desert Institute School of Classical Homeopathy, Homeopathy Academy of Southern California, Curentur University in LA, the Acupuncture and Homeopathic Institute in Miami and San Diego Center for Homeopathic Training), and conferences in Phoenix, AZ and Brattleboro, VT, but he felt to achieve his desire, a different way of teaching needed to be formed.
So, in 2004, he founded the California Center for Homeopathic Education (CCHE), where he, and other homeopaths share the real-world struggles and successes of their practices using mostly the method of the vital sensation, but also other methods that have helped these longtime practitioners help their patients.
The CCHE training program is focused on helping homeopaths improve their skills of perception and case-taking with their patients. By sharing directly from their clinical practices, the faculty at the CCHE aid and guide the participants in developing solid skills to take back to their own practices.
At the CCHE, Bill shares his successful and challenging cases as well as everything between. He does not flinch from looking at the realities of his day-to-day interaction with patients, at the question of what health is, and he shares his insights with compassion and candor. Participants are encouraged by him to question everything, to be open and to observe what is revealed not only by the patient, but by the world as a whole.
"Homeopathy opportunes us the assistance to evolve into and be ourselves."
